Selection Criteria
HOW STUDENTS WERE SELECTED
RASSR is a donor supported programme for the top performers in all 10 administrative regions based on their Math and Science scores in the NGSA 2021 and the 2022 Mock Exams; two teachers from each Region who teach these students are also selected. Students must have scored in the top 5 in their schools and/or region in BOTH Math and science in order to be considered. Selection is done by a specially convened panel. While priority is given to top performing students, consideration is also given to having regional representation and obtaining at least a minimum level of gender balance.
Criteria for admission are:
● Child must complete grade 6 or grade 7 by July 2022
● Aged 9 – 13
● Attained scores in top 5 in their schools in BOTH MATH and SCIENCE IN NGSA 2021 and 2022 ( using the scores from the Mock exams).
● Applicant must be INVITED to participate due to the small numbers to be worked with this year.
● Person filling and giving consent for child to attend must be a parent or guardian (with whom the child resides)
● We will admit on a first confirmation response basis until we reach the numerical quotas for each region.
